Clarion’s Costs and Litigation Funding team is hosting this free event, online. Rhiannon will share her experience of working first-hand with a client who had suffered from clinical negligence.
Aimed at clinical negligence litigators, court of protection deputies and any legal professional with an interest in clinical negligence claims, our panel of experts will share their knowledge and experience in dealing with such specialist claims.
10.30am: Introduction by Stephanie Kaye, Legal Director and Joanne Chase, Senior Associate in the Costs and Litigation Funding team at Clarion.
10.35am: Gordon Exall, Barrister at Kings Chambers, will cover the difficulties of witness evidence in clinical negligence cases for claimants and defendants, where witness statements go wrong and heading off problems and practical solutions.
11.05am: Rhiannon Stokes, Stokes Case Management, will share her experience of working first-hand with a client who had suffered from clinical negligence. Through a combination of teamwork, honesty and a highly personalised approach, a relationship was established that ensured the client felt fully supported throughout their rehabilitation.
11.35pm: Eddie Jones, Head of Clinical Negligence and Katherine Smith, Senior Associate Solicitor and Deputy at JMW Solicitors will talk about Cauda Equina Syndrome cases and share their insights from both a litigation and deputy’s perspective.
12.05pm: Professor Dominic Regan and Andrew McAulay, Partner and Head of the Costs and Litigation Funding team at Clarion, will cover everything you need to know about Part 36 offers including a review of important recent case law. They will also take a look at the future of ADR and the importance of embracing such within clinical negligence claims.
12.25pm: Q&A session.
