Hayley Thornton

Case Manager

Hayley has worked in the caring profession since 1997 and has gained a vast amount of experience as a manager, and now as a director, providing leadership and direction in the setting up and running of services specialising in working with adults and children with sensory disabilities and other specialist needs. Hayley is also highly experienced in working with deaf people who have acquired a brain injury. She co-ordinates rehabilitation programs focusing on challenging behaviour after acquiring a brain injury, communication difficulties and social skills.

Hayley has exceptional supervisory and organisational capabilities. She is highly adept at liaising with professionals regarding child protection concerns, legal matters, and domestic violence issues. She also has extensive knowledge of current legislation and government guidelines relating to these matters.

Hayley has excellent networking skills and routinely attends nationwide conferences. In doing so she is able to attain more effective services for her clients through the contact she makes with other professionals.

Hayley has in-depth knowledge and an excellent understanding of deaf cultural models. She provides support staff with training in deaf/blind awareness to meet the needs of her clients.

Hayley interacts effectively with her clients, their families, multidisciplinary teams and legal professionals. She is experienced in providing financial forecasts and can provide well-structured, highly informative reports. Hayley works empathetically and holistically with her clients and prides herself on the effectiveness of the outstanding service she provides.
