Case Manager Assistant (CMA)

Joanne is a determined and dynamic case manager assistant who specialises in working with children with multiple and complex needs.
Joanne’s previous roles include those of learning support assistant (LSA), technical incident manager, auditor, claim handler and helpline advisor. Her career diversity provides her with a wide range of transferrable skills, including an ability to deal with considerable caseloads effectively and efficiently, and excellent communicative skills (having routinely negotiated and liaised with families on housing matters, arrangement and organisation of service provision, and issues around the establishment of permanent transportation). Through her experience in the workplace Joanne has developed an ability to adapt at short notice to cater to the needs of her clients, whilst working to strict deadlines and service level agreements. She has an excellent understanding of the emotional and physical needs of children and is highly experienced in supporting children for whom English is an additional language. Joanne also has extensive experience of office and team-orientated environments.
In 2016 Joanne achieved honours in a BA open degree during which she conducted a focussed study of safeguarding children in the context of current law and social policy. In 2021, she also completed her Level 3 Qualification in CBT.
Joanne is a dynamic, customer-focussed case manager assistant who thrives in challenging situations. She is highly effective when liaising with professionals, carers, agencies and statutory services. Joanne is practically minded and a natural problem-solver. She is polite and professional, and approaches her clients in an empathetic, discreet and diplomatic manner.
