Case Manager & Clinical Supervisor

Kate is a highly experienced senior Case Manager and combines this with her mentoring and development skills to support Stokes Case Management as a Clinical Supervisor for our professionals.

She qualified as a paediatric nurse in 1997. For the last 10 years’ Kate as worked as a case manager and has a demonstrated history as a skilled senior case manager – her experience areas being – paediatric and adult trauma both spinal and acquired brain injury, orthopaedics, medical negligence and birth injury and the support of mental health issues surrounding all of these key areas.

Kate is a passionate senior case manager leader who works well in supporting her clients and other case managers to achieve the best outcome for all. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her clients are supported and understand the process and progress of their case. She is an advocate for ensuring her paediatric clients voices are heard and is keen to encourage and support other case managers in being passionate and seeing the importance of their role within any case.

Kate works as a senior case manager with a variety of client groups both adult and paediatric cases following catastrophic injuries. She has a particular interest in acquired brain injury, orthopaedic injury and spinal injury focusing on supporting the client and their family in maximising their independence and finding the new pathway of life.

Kate has extensive knowledge of how illness and disability affects not just the client but their families as well. Kate is passionate to ensure a client’s needs are met whether through an educational health care plan or through supporting a return to work and the different professionals that this involves.

Kate ensures that the clients voice is heard throughout the process, even if this can sometimes be a challenge!

Kate is an Advanced BABICM member and holds an NMC (part 15) BA(hons) Nursing.
