Xenia has 15 years’ experience as an occupational therapist working with adults, latterly working as a case manager for clients who have sustained major and catastrophic injuries.
Prior to working as a case manager, Xenia has worked in a number of senior roles in NHS community rehabilitation teams, including specialist community neurorehabilitation services in London, where she developed particular skills in managing clients who have cognitive, emotional, physical and psychological issues following an acquired brain injury. As a senior member of services Xenia was responsible for leading on goal setting processes and interagency joint working to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
As a case manager Xenia has worked with clients who have sustained mild to moderate traumatic brain injuries, complex multiple orthopaedic injuries, psychological injuries, and upper limb injuries. Xenia is skilled in the recruitment and managing of care teams as well as multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams to enable individuals to engage and participate in the activities they want and need to undertake.
Xenia also has experience in assisting clients with minor and major environmental adaptations, as well as facilitating relocation to more suitable accommodation.
