With you…Supporting APIL Annual Conference 2016

Stokes Case Management was out in force to support the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) Annual Conference for the second year running this May.

Our team of Case Managers and support staff, led by Rhiannon Stokes (our Clinical Director), were on hand at the national event in Birmingham to advise and guide personal injury litigation specialists through the needs and challenges facing vulnerable individuals post settlement.

(null)The APIL Annual Conference (click here for the conference Twitter feed 2016) attracts hundreds of delegates and decision-making litigators across England & Wales to hear the latest APIL industry news and research, practice support and public / professional campaigns to support vulnerable individuals. This year was one of the largest yet and Stokes Case Management ensured delegates were able to last the two-day event with our mini Welsh Cakes and lots of office supplies as well as mini-rugby balls for their children (at least that’s what they told us!)

The Wow

We launched Stokes Case Management to APIL delegates last year (after our official national launch on 1 March 2015) so it was an ideal opportunity to update professionals on our techniques and approach to Case Management. We have grown considerably in the last 12 months and are able to work with clients and lawyers across the length and breadth of England and Wales. We have also just been shortlisted for the prestigious national Claims Innovation Awards 2016 (‘best newcomer’ category) for our collaborative success and innovation in our field.

Personal injury and clinical negligence lawyers are integral to the outcome of injury / accident or negligence settlements and the award of damages in a litigation process. This funding is the basis of care provision and wellbeing investments to ensure the long-term support of vulnerable individuals – who may or may not have mental capacity.

The promise: With you, every step of the way

Stokes Case Management is committed to supporting personal injury legal professionals through all of the services required to meet an individual’s health, social care, educational and employment needs. We help litigators to consider all possible solutions (to the greatest extent possible) and to highlight new and successful Case Management techniques that could be catered for at the litigation stage.

Individual legal cases can take years to resolve which is why Stokes Case Management is often asked to meet the client at an early stage, to help map a wellbeing pathway. As well as being deployed by individuals, we are also instructed by Deputies and trustees as collaborative Case Managers for individuals who lack mental capacity.
