Case Manager & OT
Abigail is an HCPC-registered Specialist Occupational Therapist and Case Manager Associate with extensive experience supporting adults with complex, high-risk and long-term needs across health and social care.
She brings advanced expertise in functional, cognitive, sensory and environmental assessment, risk management, safeguarding and multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
Known for her creative, solution-focused and person-centred approach, Abigail identifies barriers to daily living and designs practical, achievable interventions that promote independence, safety and meaningful engagement. She adapts rehabilitation plans to each individual’s strengths, preferences and lived experience, ensuring recommendations are both clinically robust and realistic.
Abigail has worked across NHS, local authority and independent sectors, with a strong clinical background in acute care, high-risk eating disorders, neurorehabilitation, orthopaedics, stroke and community mental health. Her experience in adult social care strengthened her expertise in environmental assessment, major adaptations and equipment provision.
In her current case management role, Abigail manages complex adult cases involving cognitive, emotional, physical and psychosocial needs, including ARBD, mental health conditions and neurodivergence. She completes comprehensive assessments and translates clinical findings into clear, legally robust recommendations, coordinating multidisciplinary rehabilitation and liaising closely with legal and statutory services.
Alongside this, Abigail is the Lead Occupational Therapist within a Community Mental Health Team and the sole OT within a detox ward, providing senior clinical leadership, advanced assessment and service development. She works within a trauma-informed, neuro-affirmative framework and is recognised for producing clear, defensible documentation. Abigail brings a balanced blend of clinical expertise, creativity and relational skill, ensuring meaningful rehabilitation for clients and high-quality evidence for legal teams.
