Fleur Akrigg 

Fleur qualified as a nurse in 2015 with a first-class honours’ degree. She has a broad range of clinical experience, covering statutory and private services.  

Fleur has a comprehensive range of case management experience supporting paediatric and adult clients – across both personal injury and clinical negligence cases. She has worked with clients who have sustained acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and complex polytrauma. Fleur is passionate about using her strong assessment skills, and extensive experience co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored rehabilitation and care. Fleur uses a collaborative approach working closely with clients’ families and supporters to ensure her client’s needs are fully understood and met. Fleur takes pride in her excellent communication skills and her commitment to providing person-centred care, always advocating for the best outcomes for her clients and their families.   

In her role as Business Development Lead at Stokes, Fleur has developed a strong professional network, which she actively draws upon to connect her clients with leading experts and high-quality services across the industry. Committed to continuous learning, Fleur strives to expand her own knowledge and maintain an evidence-based approach to practice, ensuring her clients receive the best possible support to achieve their goals. She regularly attends conferences and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities, applying the latest insights and best practices to her work. 

Before moving to Stokes, Fleur worked as a clinical nurse specialist where she developed her case management skills. Fleur’s expertise is working with people with life changing conditions, and she has an in depth understanding of the physical and psychological effects of illness and injury. Her experience working as a clinical nurse specialist allowed her to pursue her passion for managing complex cases in patients with a wide variety of needs.   

In both her nursing and case management roles, Fleur has demonstrated a strong commitment to knowledge sharing. She has presented at national conferences to audiences of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, and contributed to the development and review of patient education materials aimed at enhancing understanding and engagement in care.
