Fleur qualified as a nurse in 2015 with a first-class honours’ degree. She has a broad range of clinical experience, covering statutory and private services. She is passionate about providing a holistic approach to care for clients, families and their supporters.

Fleur started her nursing career working in head and neck oncology where she developed extensive skills in the management of complex airway problems. She next worked in an acute NHS hospital trust where she honed her skills caring for deteriorating patients with complex needs. Fleur has extensive experience of complex discharge co-ordination and care management, setting up community services to enable safe efficient and cost-effective hospital discharges.

Before moving to Stokes, Fleur worked as a clinical nurse specialist where she developed her case management skills. Fleur’s expertise is working with people with life changing conditions, and she has an in depth understanding of the physical and psychological effects of illness and injury. Her experience working as a clinical nurse specialist allowed her to pursue her passion for managing complex cases in patients with a wide variety of needs. She has excellent assessment skills and has a wealth of experience of working with and co-ordinating a multidisciplinary team. Fleur has worked in several settings including managing people with acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. She prides herself on her interpersonal and communication skills, always providing person centred care and advocating for patients and their families.

Throughout her nursing career Fleur has built long term, trusting relationships with key stakeholders.

She believes in the importance of evidence-based support and education and has spoken at national meetings to audiences of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals. She has also written and reviewed many patient education publications. Fleur always strives to further expand her own knowledge to ensure that clients get the best possible support and can achieve their goals.
