BSc (Hons) Nursing
Victoria has vast experience in a variety of NHS settings, having achieved a first-class honours degree in nursing. During this time, she focussed her passion on developing high standards of care that focuses on each individual’s unique needs. Victoria has a strong interest in neurological disorders, having 9 years of experience working in a neurological rehabilitation centre. Here, she gained an empathetic understanding on the impact of neurological injury to an individual, their families and their friends. Through building therapeutic relationships, Victoria understood the importance of maximising patients’ rehabilitation and ensuring they received the most appropriate care moving forward.
Having worked as Practice Nurse, Victoria is experienced in managing her own clinics, providing care to patients presenting with a large variety of concerns. She has become expert in creating person-specific care plans, recognising what healthcare professionals will be required to achieve the best outcomes, educating the patient, and supporting them to make the right decisions with their health choices.
Experience from working in a busy city hospital, including the A&E department as well as specialised wards has given Victoria a very rounded knowledge of many different illnesses, diseases, and emergency situations. It has also provided vast understanding on local authority care provision, hospital discharge and the involvement of the multi-disciplinary team both in primary and secondary care.
Victoria enjoys studying and in particular researching neurological disorders, mental health and wellbeing and the importance of holistic care. She strongly values the importance of mindfulness, positivity and recognition of the biological, sociological and psychological impacts on an individual. She enjoys teaching other healthcare professionals, students and patients to empower them with health knowledge.
As a case manager, Victoria brings together all of her experience in healthcare to provide exceptional holistic management to clients. Working with both private care providers and local authorities to ensure clients are able to achieve their maximum potential has been the most rewarding part of the job. She takes great pride in writing thorough reports and communicating efficiently with the client and all the team involved.
