Emma is an enthusiastic occupational therapist and case manager with 22 years of experience working in the health and social care sectors. She is highly experienced in working for clients with complex discharge planning needs and has become extremely proficient in producing carefully constructed care packages. Emma has experience working in hospital and community settings, and more recently working as a community occupational therapist supporting adults and children with a variety of complex needs and medical conditions. Emma has a wealth of experience working with individuals with motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, amputations, respiratory conditions and learning disabilities. She has also worked in palliative care and care of the elderly.

Emma is highly experienced in recommending major and minor adaptations to the home environment and in creatively supporting clients to remain within their own homes and promoting community access (whenever it is appropriate to do so).

Emma has a natural empathy for her clients and is highly motivated to ensure they reach their full potential. She believes that a caring, creative approach and the ability to understand the client’s needs are paramount in building productive working relationships. She uses her exceptional communication skills to quickly build excellent client/case manager rapport, and she is highly effective at liaising with other professionals, multidisciplinary teams, carers, agencies and statutory services.

Emma is skilled in carrying out assessments and providing detailed reports, as well as carrying out risk assessments. She is thoroughly dynamic and tailors her approach appropriately to suit her clients’ unique needs.
